Here at Riddles and Wise, we concentrate our efforts to create, develop, and promote children’s literature designed to inspire the imaginations of our readers.
Specifically, Riddles and Wise is an organization dedicated to advancing awareness of the contributions made by Descendants of Black American Slaves.
Riddles and Wise highlights the importance of exploring the integrity displayed by Black Heroines in the face of systemic limitations and exclusion. Each Riddles and Wise character should be celebrated for her ingenuity and role in sustaining Black American culture. We encourage our readers to broaden their knowledge of these hidden figures that changed the course of American history.
Come along the fun-filled adventures of our Black Heroines as they embark upon their quests to overcome the byproducts and stigma of systemic racism.
Our fictional stories capture our characters’ life experiences by recognizing their courage, compassion, inclusion, innovation, and motivation. Everything that helped them thrive despite the odds. Riddles and Wise glorifies the innocence of humanity no matter how or where we may enter history.
The Riddles and Wise books and activities set will help readers identify connections, themes, and patterns without compromising the essence of childhood dreams and wonders. We are ready to remind the world who we are, and you are all invited to join!
The children who stand before you
Will some day be in your shoes
And children will stand before them
Hearing things once said by you.
If your message is uplifting
And your smile is bright and true
They will pass them to their children
In the ways they learned from you
An adaption of the poem “And Their Children Too,” by Ronald Ferguson
